Bug Spray;
- 1/8 teaspoon Epson salt
- Purification Essential Oil
- Distilled water
- coloured glass spray bottle
Step 1: 1/8 teaspoon of epson salt into bottle
Step 2: 3-4 drops Essential oils try to have it land on the salts, shake it around till the oils are soaked in
Step 3: fill glass bottle with distilled water, place lid on & SHAKE!
Step 4: use every few hours as you would any other bug spray
Sun and Bug Screen;
1/2 cup shea butter
- 5 Tbsp beeswax (buy at farmers market from same people you buy honey from)
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 2 Tbsp Zinc Oxide (order from newdirections.ca)
- ½ tsp Vitamin E Oil (buy at Vita Health)
- 10-20 drops Purification essential oil
Step 1: Combine the shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax in a glass bowl placed over a hot pot of water or use a double boiler. Heat on low until the ingredients are melted and full incorporated.
Step 2: Remove from heat and stir in the zinc oxide, the essential oil, and the vitamin E oil. Step 3: Pour into silicone mold and place in the fridge to cool for about 30 minutes. Pop out and store in tins or an airtight container. Stored at room temperature they will last about 3 months
Deodorant
- 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
- 4 tsp baking soda
- 4 tsp arrowroot flour
- 2-3 drops E.O (tea tree oil (melaluca), purification or citrus)
Step 2: Place in clean empty deodorant container or glass bowl if you want to apply with your fingers
(during the summer months or if you keep you house warmer than 25 degrees Celsius it will be very runny, almost liquid. You can add 1 tsp melted bees wax to your ingredients if you want it more solid)
